BAD Ingredients

Everyone pays attention to carb, protein and fat breakdown to look good, but what about the rest? What about the quality of food you’re putting in your body? Yes, that meal is sugar free, low fat and lasts for months, but what makes it that way? There are so many artificial ingredients and preservatives added to food to make it "healthy" or have a longer shelf life.

There has been a rise in so many different cancers, thyroid problems and health conditions that lead back to these ingredients. Pay attention and not just food for you, but also in your kids' foods. So, here is a quick "no" list that I follow:

- Aspartame

- Neotame


- Torula Yeast

- Most yeast extract

- High fructose corn syrup

- Blue 1 and 2

- Green 3

- Red 3 and 40

- Yellow 5 and 6

- Hydrogenated oils

- Acesulfame k/Potassium

- Phosphoric acids

- Sodium Nitrate/Nitrite

- Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA)

I know there are more ingredients that can be added to the list and as I do more research I’ll update it. For now, try to stick to all natural, organic and unprocessed foods.
